The School Counseling Department at Dallas High School provides support to every student to ensure their academic, career, and social/emotional needs are being met. By doing so, we hope our students will thrive not only during high school, but after graduation as well. We achieve this through:

Additionally, students will have access to N.E.W.S (Nutrition, Emotional Wellness, Social Connection) on the new Canvas platform.
N.E.W.S is a non-graded time built into the schedule as recommended by ODE for students to connect with peers, rest, exercise, participate in support groups, facilitate time management, etc, etc. In addition to the time slot of Wednesday afternoons , one of your 4 periods will also be used for NEWS. Whichever period you have NEWS scheduled, you will NOT have a live session or required assignments.
